HIPAA/HITECH Compliance Assessment

RiskAssist Program
Pendulum’s RiskAssist Program involves working with the insured to develop tailored strategies that drive lasting improvement, whether it involves enhancing the quality program, refining event management, or strengthening high-risk programs.
- A risk consultant collaborates with the leadership team to identify an area of focus, addressing gaps and providing resources to enhance compliance and safety
- Includes an initial call, an on-site implementation day, and a 30- or 60-day follow-up
- A follow-up letter summarizing the implementation day is provided, as well as a summary report to the client after the follow-up call
Defensibility Determination Review
Pendulum’s Defensibility Determination Review analyzes an insured’s defensibility in relation to any documentation that could be subpoenaed. This includes:
- Policies, procedures, and programs (Risk, Quality, and Safety Committees)
- Employee relations (hiring process and training)
- Elements of the admission process (expectations management, screening for high-risk areas, etc.)
- Documentation in the medical record
- Management of high-risk areas (skin integrity, falls, elopement, abuse, and medications)
